The Erasmus Charter For Higher Education (ECHE)
The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) provides the essential quality framework for European and international cooperation that higher education institutions (HEIs) may engage in under the Erasmus+ programme. Holding an ECHE is a mandatory requirement for institutions based in Programme Countries that wish to participate in student and staff mobility, as well as in projects focused on innovation, capacity building, and best practice exchange.
For HEIs located in Partner Countries, an ECHE is not required. Instead, quality standards and commitments are defined through inter-institutional agreements between the involved institutions.
By decision of the European Commission, the College of Europe, LOGOS University College, with 2 Campus in Tirana in Albania, has been awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education for the 2022–2029 period for fist time. This recognition enables the institution to expand and implement new initiatives within the Erasmus+ framework.
The European Commission has granted the LOGOS University College, Tirana the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), a recognition valid until December 31, 2029. This achievement solidifies the university’s role in the Erasmus+ Program, unlocking new possibilities for academic mobility and cross-border partnerships.
Why This Matters:
Global Reach – Strengthening international academic ties and exchange programs.
Academic Excellence – Enhancing teaching and research through European collaboration.
More Opportunities – Students and staff gain access to study, internships, and training across Europe.
Diversity & Inclusion – Encouraging multicultural learning environments and global perspectives.
Stronger Institution – Building administrative and academic expertise through international cooperation.
This milestone empowers the LOGOS University College Tirana to offer its community transformative experiences—enabling studies, research, and professional growth at top-tier European universities.
As part of the Erasmus+ Programme, the LOGOS University College Tirana Albania, offers traineeships for students/recent graduates and staff mobility programs for teaching assignments and training. The participants of these mobility activities can receive scholarships from the Erasmus+ budget.
